Note that at hand are new restrictions on student dependents now. If the prevalent Tier 4 visa holder is on a course for less than six months, he cannot have dependents within the UK.
Also, your permission to work will be determined by the course the Tier 4 visa holder is studying. If the Tier 4 visa holder's course is for less than 12 months or below level level, unless it is a foundation degree course, afterwards dependents will not be allowed to work.
