Are the Criminal Record Bureau checks within UK still compulsory for teacher?
Yes, they are required for anyone working with children or vulnerable adults. http://www.crb.homeoffice.gov.uk/guidanc…
Absolutely! You cannot work as a cleaner surrounded by a school without one checked criminally! I believe that it is still possible to get a job as a instructor even if you have a criminal record, obviously the conviction can not be of a serious nature but if you have a criminal text declare it at the interview, be 100% honest, the worst they can say is No!
