If an internet company member of staff disclosed personal information within a book could they be sued?

vague details here, but one has be reading a book, with certain details contained by it that could not have come from the individuals concerned directly. As the info is in breach of the osa 1984 religious group 7 as well as confidentiality acts and have not to my recollection obtained permission to print details, can they be sued?

Yes if you have the money to do it. One well known internet provider have an employee who had everybody's mound details and was misusing them for his own gain. Police were involved.
